Engineering Consultants Ltd (EBA) has an immediate position
for an Intermediate to Senior Wildlife Biologist in our
Natural Sciences Group in Calgary or Edmonton, AB. This is
your opportunity to join a team of experienced biologists,
scientists, and technical staff in meeting today’s
environmental challenges with innovative solutions. The
Natural Sciences Group provides environmental permitting,
impact assessment, biophysical inventories, and
environmental management services. The successful candidate
will lead wildlife surveys and provide input on wildlife
and wildlife habitat components on environmental assessment
projects. The position also provides opportunity to manage
projects within our strategic markets including energy,
transportation, development and mining. The role will also
include the training and mentoring of junior and
intermediate staff.
Qualifications:
• You possess a
minimum of a B.Sc. in biology or closely related field,
with a relevant professional biologist designation (or
eligibility).
• You have
experience conducting wildlife and wildlife habitat
assessments.
• You have a
minimum of four years of consulting experience or relevant
practical experience.
• You have
knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements and
processes.
• You have
experience in implementing or the desire to learn strong
project management principles.
