A
Pivotal Leadership Role with a Focus on Sustainability
In
this senior role, you will lead the newly-formed
Environmental Services division responsible for a broad
range of City environmental issues, initiatives, and
policies. Collaborating with key internal and external
stakeholders and the public, you will develop and implement
corporate environmental strategies consistent with the
City’s strategic plan and economic and social
sustainability initiatives. In addition, you will provide
leadership to a professionally diverse staff in a
fast-paced team environment.
Utilizing your extensive expertise in environmental
management paired with your project planning and
implementation skills, you will deliver results at the
local government level in policy development and executing
corporate environmental programs and initiatives in areas
such as solid waste reduction, energy management, water
conservation, and environmental protection and education.
Your business acumen, political astuteness, and proven
ability to implement Council or Board-driven policy
direction will drive your success in this role.
In addition to academic accreditation and professional
qualifications in Engineering, Biology, and/or another
relevant discipline, you possess extensive related
experience, preferably in a senior municipal capacity. Your
superior leadership, interpersonal, communication, and
presentation skills are complemented by a diplomatic
demeanour.
